📍 Pickup: After breakfast, your Usoke Explorers guide will pick you up from your hotel/residence in Kampala or Entebbe.

Your journey to Western Uganda begins via the Masaka-Mbarara highway, with scenic stopovers:
✅ Masaka Stop: Stretch your legs, witness daily local activities
✅ Mbarara Stop: Lunch break in the land of milk

Proceed through the breathtaking landscapes of western Uganda before arriving at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trip!

📍 Early morning: Wake up early for breakfast and pick up your packed lunch. Transfer to Ntebeko Visitors Center for a pre-hiking briefing about:
✅ The hike difficulty & safety tips
✅ The history and formation of the Virunga Mountains

📍 Hike Start: A ranger guide will lead you to the trailhead at the mountain’s foothill.

What to Expect:

• The hike takes about 8 hours (round trip).
• There are two resting huts:
  ✅ First hut at 3,116m – Some hikers stop here.
  ✅ Second hut at 3,855m – The final resting point before the summit.
• The peak is cold and misty, but the effort is worth it!
• Enjoy breathtaking views of Virunga volcanoes, the twin lakes, and a crater lake at the summit.

📍 After the descent, return to your lodge, pack your belongings, and transfer to Paradise Eco Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a serene, island-dotted lake known for:
✅ Being one of Africa’s deepest lakes (900m deep)

✅ Over 29 islands, including Punishment Island

📍 Activities to Choose From:
✅ Boat Cruise – Explore the islands & hear their legends
✅ Bird Watching – Spot colorful small birds (Bunyonyi means “place of little birds”)

📍 After an activity-filled day, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
