About Mountain Rwenzori National Park
Mountain Rwenzori National Park is a high-altitude protected area located in Kasese District, western Uganda, along the eastern side of the Albertine Rift Valley, bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is home to Africa’s third-highest mountain peak, the snowcapped Rwenzori Mountains (also known as the “Mountains of the Moon”), standing at 16,700 ft.
