Morning: Entebbe Botanical Gardens
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your location in Kampala or Entebbe. Your first stop is the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, established in 1898. This lush sanctuary is home to diverse flora and bird species such as:
- African Open-Billed Storks
- Orange Weavers
- Pied Kingfishers
- Swamp Flycatchers
- Madagascar Bee-eaters
- Great Blue Turacos
- Entebbe Weavers
The gardens also have monkeys and other small wildlife, making it an excellent spot for photography and relaxation.
Mid-Morning: Uganda Reptile Village
Next, head to the Uganda Reptile Village, located along the Kampala-Entebbe highway. Established in 2002, this conservation site houses over 50 reptiles, including:
- Over 20 species of snakes (such as the African Rock Python)
- Chameleons
- Tortoises
- Crocodiles
- Monitor lizards
If you're feeling adventurous, you can even lift a Rock Python under expert supervision!
Afternoon: Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC)
After the reptile experience, continue to UWEC, also known as Entebbe Zoo. This center serves as a rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary for animals saved from poachers or accidents. You will see:
- Leopards
- Zebras
- Giraffes
- Uganda Kobs
- Lions
- Elephants
- Primates
- Reptiles
- Rare birds like the Shoebill Stork
Enjoy an en-route lunch before heading to Lake Victoria.
Evening: Sunset Cruise on Lake Victoria & Equator Monument
Board a boat for a 1.5-hour sunset cruise on Lake Victoria, the largest tropical lake in the world and the source of the Nile River. The golden hues of the sunset reflecting off the calm waters provide a picture-perfect moment.
On this cruise, you’ll also visit the Equator Monument, located on a small island in the lake. Capture the moment with stunning photos before heading back to shore.

After a day of adventure, your guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, or at Entebbe International Airport for your return flight.
