Detailed Itinerary for 8 days  uganda  safaris

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo national Park

On the first day of 8 days uganda safaris a representative from Usoke explores will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast, brief you about the safari and start your journey to western Uganda via the Masaka-Mbarara Highway. A stopover at the Equator to carry out experiments that prove the world is divided into two hemispheres, northern and southern. Take as many photos as you.  Day 2: Set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On day 2 of  8 days  uganda safaris, You will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and immediately after head for a morning game drive, which is the most effective way to spot the park’s wildlife. Possible sightings include buffaloes, zebras, impala, elands, giraffes etc. Return to the lodge and check out. Start your transfer to the southwestern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, upon arrival check in at a booked lodge to have lunch served and relax for the rest of the afternoon. Later have dinner and a night stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Community Walk

On your third day of 8 days  uganda safaris, you will be required to wake up earlier than usual for a heavy breakfast and carry packed lunch. Meet with your driver guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the forest. Your search will begin at exactly 8:00 am which may range from 4-8 hours of searching depending on where the gorillas hosted their previous night and on your trekking speed, the search might be challenging hence your requirement to hire a walking stick for support. On meeting the gorillas, you will be given a full hour to spend with them in their natural locale, this is one of the things one should add on their bucket list, it is very rewarding, breathtaking and worth all the hustle. After return to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded trekking certificates. Day 5: Game drive and Boat Cruise

Day 5 of  8 days  uganda safaris, You will wake up early for breakfast and head for a morning game drive, game drives are the best way to get close to the park’s wild animals in a 4×4 Safari Vehicle and the morning drive is the most effective among them all as the animals come out of their hidings to dew covered grass to grab a morning meal and predators coming back to cribs after hunting. Wildlife that will be spotted will include waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Elephants, buffaloes, warthogs and the famous climbing lions as well as countless bird species. After the drive retreat to the lodge for a lunch break.

After lunch, go for at 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you get a close encounter with the park’s water animals like crocodiles and Hippos and birds like Malachite Kingfisher, Pink backed pelicans as well as other animals on the banks like elephants, Buffaloes quenching their thirst and bathing. Head back to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale

Day 6 of 8 days  uganda safaris, Wake up at your convenient time and have breakfast, after that head to the baboon cliffs and get some beautiful eye-catching scenery. Then head back to the lodge for lunch… pack your luggage and start your 2-3hour drive to Kibale National park. Reach in the evening, check in at the lodge and have dinner and a night stay.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

After breakfast, on day  7 of  8 days  uganda safaris your driver will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing form the park rangers on the dos and don’ts while in the forest. The search for the chimpanzees will start at 8:00 a.m., unlike for gorilla trekking; this search will take from 2-6 hours spending on where the chimps hosted the previous night and on their locomotion. On meeting these creatures, you will be allocated a full hour with them and watch their day to day activities like feeding, playing, jumping from branch to branch, and breast feeding. You will be impositioned to spot other primates like golden monkeys, the grey cheeked mangabey, bush babies, L’Hoests monkeys, otters, bush pigs, baboons and a variety of bird species like green breasted pitta, great blue turaco and many others. After trekking return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, pay a visit at the Bigodi wetlands which are infested with various bird species, some primates and local people. After a long day of adventures, return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 8: Return to Kampala
