Day 1: Pickup- Visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary- Continue to Murchison Falls National Park.

ON the first day  of 4-Days Murchison falls safari, Our company representative who is also your personal driver guide will pick you up from a hotel/residence in Kampala/Entebbe or from the Entebbe international Airport, you will be briefed on how the 4 days of your adventure safari will run and then transfer to Murchison Falls National park via Luwero. Enjoy your ride as you gaze from the Vehicle windows how Africa is gifted. Don’t forget to grab fried chicken and fresh fruits from one of the fast food markets Namawojoro along the way.

Your main stop over will be at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for tracking both the remaining black and white Rhinos in Uganda. The sanctuary was established mainly to protect these endangered species from going extinct after 99% of them where killed by poachers in National Parks due to extensive poaching.  After Rhino trekking continue with your journey to Murchison falls with a stopover in Masindi for a lunch break and en-route. On reaching the park, drive straight to the top of the magnificent thunderous Murchison Falls, which are formed as the calm waters of the Nile squeeze through a narrow gorge and drops with a thunderous force. Day 2: Morning game drive and a boat cruise to the falls bottom on the Nile

On day 2 of 4-Days Murchison falls safari, wake up to the most rewarding and event full day of the safari, have a very early breakfast. You will be picked up by your driver guide and head to the park for wildlife viewing and searching giving you 99% chances of spotting animals like lions, leopards, giraffes, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, oribi jackals, Elephants, warthogs, Jackson hartebeests, hyenas, variety of bird species and more. The morning gam drive is the best and most rewarding way to spot most of the park’s wildlife as they rise doe breakfast and predators returning after their hunting. The drive will run for about four hours and after return to the lodge for a lunch break and refreshment.

After lunch, you guide will drop you at the banks of the river for a boat cruise, where you will see to the park’s aquatic species at a close range like crocodiles, hippos, birds like shoebill storks, Goliath heron, hornbills, yellow billed stork, pelicans etc. and others on the banks of the river. The boat cruise will take you up to the bottom of the falls where you will hike up to the top and meet with your guide driver and head to the lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 3: Boat ride at the Nile delta and afternoon game drive

The third day of the safari comes with more opportunities of game viewing and boat rides. Wake up to an early morning breakfast, meet with your drive and head for a 4-hour boat ride down the stream to the Nile delta. The Nile delta is one of the best spots of watching variety of the park’s wildlife like lions, bushbucks, elephants, buffaloes. During the cruise you will pass through swamps and wetlands where your will spot countless bird species, Murchison Falls National Park is one of the best places in Uganda for birdwatching.  After the amazing boat ride, head to the lodge for a delicious lunch. After lunch head back to the Park for another game drive for morning wildlife viewing. After the game drive head back to the lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest and Transfer back to Kampala

On the last day of  4-Days Murchison falls safari, after breakfast, your driver will take you for briefing at the forest offices and divided into groups, head to the forest led by a ranger, Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo ranges from 2-5 hours of searching and on meeting the chimps you will be allocated a full hour to spend with them. Unlike other chimpanzee trekking destinations in Uganda, Budongo is less crowded and tourists have high chances of interacting with international researchers for more information about the chimpanzees. While watching chimpanzees, you will beat two birds with one stone as you will also spot other smaller primates, birds and ancient mahogany trees. After trekking these primates, meet up with your guide driver and start your journey back to Kampala. Lunch will either be served in Masindi or Luwero. Up on arrival in Kampala, your guide with will either drop you off at a destination in Kampala/Entebbe or At the Entebbe International Airport depending on your flight schedule.
