Detailed Itinerary of 3 days lake mburo birding safari

Day 1: Leave Kampala for Lake Mburo National Park

Day 1 of 3 days lake mburo birding safari, our company representative will pick you up from your respective location after breakfast, and commence your transfer to western Uganda via the Masaka-Mbarara highway along the way their will be spot overs looking for numerous bird species in their hardly missed localities. The other stop will be at the Equator, an imaginary line that divides the world into two hemispheres, taking as many photos as you wish, stretching your legs and en-route. Upon reaching the park, check into a prior booked accommodation for a lunch break.

After lunch, go for a simple bird watch and game drive and later return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Day 2: Birding in Lake Mburo National Park all day.

On day 2 of 3 days lake mburo birding safari you will be required to wake up earlier than usual and go for a morning bird watch on foot, where you will be accompanied by an armed ranger guide who is well versed with the trails of the park. After the two-hour walk, return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. After going for a morning game and birding drive in the park wilderness where you stand higher chance to spot wildlife like impala, Zebras, Elands, Topis, Buffaloes etc. the possible bird species sightings include Black-billed Barbet, Crested Fraclin, White Winged Warblers, Tabora Cisticola, Lesser Blue Earned Starling, Red Faced Barbet, Brown Chested Plover, Black Shouldered Cuckoo Shrike, Red Billed Wood Hope, Bare faced Go-away-bird, Sulphur Breasted Bush-Shrike among others. Time for a picnic lunch will be provided. Later in the evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest.
