Detailed Itinerary of 3 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi 

Day 1: Pick up, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and Afternoon boat cruise

On the first day of 3 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi,  You will be picked up by your English speaking guide driver who will brief you about the safari and start your 457-kilometer journey to Lake Bunyonyi in the western part of Uganda for approximately 8 hours of road drives. Up on arrival at the lake have a lunch break at a resort overlooking the lake.

After lunch head to the lake for a boat cruise where you will have an opportunity to visit the 29 islands on Lake Bunyonyi including the historical Punishment island. You will spot countless birds along the shores of the water like the grey corned crane, heron, egrets, cuckoos among others. After your cruise transfer to the Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable, check in at the price booked loge of your choice for relaxation, dinner and preparations for the adventures of the following day.

3 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Ruhija Sector and Batwa Culture Tour

On this day 2 of 3 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi, your required to wake up earlier than usual, after a heavy breakfast meet up with your guide driver carrying your packed lunch and head to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts during gorilla trekking in the forest, you will be divided in groups of 8 persons and each group allocated a range.  You can start your hike in search of the gorillas for about 4-8 hours depending on where the gorillas hosted their night and on your hiking speed. The activity is strenuous and may require average physical fitness or you can get a walking stick from the HQ. Upon meeting these apes, you will be allocated a full hour to spend with these species enjoying them play, eat, feed their young ones, among others. This activity is one of the most rewarding in the world and should be added to your bucket list. After the activity, retire to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Transfer Back to Kampala

After a delicious breakfast, transfer back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Masaka, where you will have as many photos as you wish, take pleasure in standing into hemispheres at ago, do the famous water experiment that proves the earth is split into two hemispheres, the north and south. You will have lunch en-route to Kampala or Entebbe and end of  3 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi
